Connaught Street Market returns for May bank holiday weekend

The Connaught Street Market will once again take centre stage on the west side of Athlone this May bank holiday weekend.

Taking place in Connaught Gardens on Sunday, May 4, from 12pm to 4pm, the market will include fun for all the family.

Previously hosted during the St Patrick's weekend celebrations, the family focused community event, organised by the Connaught Street and Environs Community Group, will feature creative craft stalls, face painting, gourmet treats and the return of old town alpacas who proved a popular addition during the March market.

The inaugural Connaught Street Market took place in August of this year for Heritage week.
