New art exhibition to be installed at Tuar Ard Arts Centre in Moate
The installation of a new art exhibition by Valeriia Poliushko and Christi Steen Kamp will take place in Tuar Ard Arts Centre Moate on Friday, April 11, at 10.30am.
Valeriia Poliushko is an artist from Ukraine currently in based in Ireland with over 10 years of creative experience. Through her art, she strives to bring warmth and coziness to any space. Her work combines decorative and realistic painting, mixing different materials such as acrylic paints, oil paints and gold leaf. She is always happy to meet new people and collaborate!
Christi Steenkamp is from South Africa. Art and specifically drawing has been a lifelong special hobby for her. Since she moved to Ireland almost four years ago, she has begun working with different mediums and styles. As a mother to a toddler and baby she now finds new meaning in her work and feels a sense of peace and stillness in what she creates.
To mark the launch of the exhibition which will remain open to the public until Wednesday, May 14, Art Box and Women's Circle will host a free watercolours workshop in the gallery on Friday from 10.30am until 12pm. All levels are welcome to attend. To book your spot contact Alex on 089 2381766.
