Payne to miss Ireland's clash with Greece
Heather Payne will not be involved in Ireland's away game against Greece tomorrow (Friday).
The Creagh native will miss the UEFA Nations League B Group 2 game out due to an ankle injury picked up while on club duty with Everton.
After beating Turkey and losing to Slovenia, Ireland face Greece twice in the space of four days with a home game coming up at Tallaght Stadium next Tuesday, April 8 after this first meeting.
There are currently 35 places between Ireland (26) and Greece (61) in the FIFA women’s world rankings.
Friday's game will be played at the Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium in Heraklion (kick-off 3pm Irish time) and will be shown on RTÉ2.
