Athlone Training Centre to host careers fair event this Wednesday
Athlone Training Centre will host a Transport and Logistics Careers Fair tomorrow (Wednesday, April 2) from 10am to 1pm.
The work and skills event at the Garrycastle facility will provide jobseekers with an opportunity to connect with employers who are actively recruiting.
Jobseekers can also learn about the training options available, and avail of job seeking advice to help them take the next step in their career.
Employers who will be attending the Transport and Logistics Careers Fair include DPD, An Post, and Musgraves.
These employers are looking to meet with people interested in a career as operatives, drivers and HGV Mechanics as well as offering roles for Apprentice Mechanics.
The Minister for Social Protection, Dara Calleary, has encouraged jobseekers in the Midlands to visit the recruitment event to learn about the jobs on offer and to explore the many training options available.
"I encourage anyone seeking a new career or looking to upskill or retrain to attend the event to learn about the jobs on offer," Minister Dara Calleary said.
"Whatever your career choice, these events can help you to achieve your goals.
"Our teams will also be onsite to provide information on the Department's supports and services, and to offer guidance on job searching."
