Watch: TUS Athlone gives first look inside brand new STEM building
The Technological University of the Shannon in Athlone has given a first look inside its brand new, purpose-built Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) building.
The official opening of the STEM building is set to take place in September of this year, just in time for the new academic year.
The massive new building features more than 20 science labs for hands-on experiments, state-of-the-art equipment and immersive classrooms, collaboration spaces to connect with classmates and industry leaders, as well as new sports and health science research labs.
"This incredible space is designed for innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning. You'll be learning in spaces and labs that are designed to prepare you for the careers of tomorrow," said Sarah Denby, TUS Athlone Student Recruitment Officer.
"Our new facility is designed to offer students the very best in education and research. We're committed to ensuring you will gain practical experience that will set you apart in the job market."
To have a look inside the new STEM building for yourself, you can attend the TUS Athlone Spring Open Evening on April 9 from 6pm to 8pm.
