Locals asked to Walk in Pink in Athlone this Mother’s Day

Will You ‘Walk in Pink’ for breast cancer research this Mother’s Day?

That’s what the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI|) is asking everyone to help them get one step closer to a cure by getting together with family and friends on Mother’s Day, Sunday, March 30, and help make a difference for many women dealing with breast cancer.

One in seven Irish women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, with over 3,587 cases diagnosed annually. Funds raised will go to support the breast cancer research team at the Lambe Institute, University of Galway.

Supported by The Radisson Blu Hotel and Collins McNicholas, the Athlone ‘Walk in Pink’ will take place at 10am at the Radisson Blu Hotel, along the golden mile along the Shannon, then return to the hotel.

Register at: www.WalkInPink.ie for €25 and you’ll also get a FREE ‘Walk in Pink’ Bobble Hat.
