Sarah Healy finishes sixth in 3000m final at World Indoor Championships

Sarah Healy has finished sixth in her 3000-metre final at the World Indoor Championships in China.

Healy stayed in contention from the start, only to drop back into sixth place over the last lap. The race was won by by Freweyni Hailu from Ethiopia, who kicked to the front at the bell to win in 8:37.21.

Healy finished with a time of 8:40.00.

It comes two weeks after Healy won gold at the European Indoor Championships in the Netherlands.

It wasn't to be for Andrew Coscoran and James Gormley in the men's equivalent either.

Norwegian superstar Jakob Ingebritsen powered home to win his first World Indoor title, whilst Coscoran finished in 6th, with Gormley in 13th.

Ingebrigtsen is back on the track on Sunday looking to added the 1,500m title.
