Westmeath seek to avoid relegation as clash with Rossies looms
The threat of relegation looming, Westmeath host Roscommon in their penultimate Lidl Ladies NFL Division 2 fixture in Ballynacargy on Sunday afternoon (throw in, 2pm).
Westmeath have garnered one point from their five games played to date, that being a draw against Donegal.
To avoid the drop to the third tier, the Lake County must defeat their neighbours and repeat the feat when they play Monaghan in their final division fixture.
With much at stake in this contest, Roscommon will be hoping to secure their division status, knowing this will be achieved should they emerge victorious and Clare lose to Cork.
Both counties have named their respective teams for this eagerly awaited fixture.
Westmeath: A Donlon; L McCartan, S Murphy, A Roche; C Kelly, L Power, F Coyle (captain); T Dillon, V Carr; A Ruane, A Jones, P Ruane; G Byrne, C Kilmurray, S Dillon.
Roscommon: C O’Reilly; R Brady, E Irwin, M Kelly; M McKeon, S Wynne, Ria Lennon; A Curran, L O’Rourke; S McGuinness, L Mannion (captain), N Watson; A Hanly, Rosie Lennon, C Lennon.
