Man in court in connection with weekend assault

A man has appeared in court in connection with an alleged stabbing in Athlone at the weekend.

A man, in his late 30s, came before Athlone District Court on Monday, charged with assault causing harm of another man in the Marine View area of Athlone on Saturday night.
