Gardai are investigating a report of an assault and car theft in Athlone on Saturday afternoon.

Gardai are investigating an alleged assault on a man, and the theft of a car, a black Mercedes Benz, on the Dublin Road area of Athlone on Saturday, March 1.

Anyone in the vicinity of TUS to the Kilmartin's N6 roundabout in Athlone, between 2pm and 6pm last Saturday, March 1, and who has information in connection with the incident is asked to contact Gardai in Athlone at 090 6498550.
