Athlone's Eddie is feted for 25 years of service to Certa
An Athlone man who has given a quarter century of distinguished service to local fuel supplier, Certa, has been honoured by the company.
Eddie Belton is the Athlone Depot Supervisor for Certa, which operates Ireland's largest network of pay@pump forecourts and home heating depots. He was one of three Westmeath men to be honoured by the company at a special ceremony at which their long years of service were recognised.
The event was told by Orla Stevens, Managing Director of Certa, that Eddie Belton first began working for the company as a driver over 25 years ago, and progressed to becoming the Supervisor in the Certa Athlone Depot.
“Eddie is meticulous at keeping his depot in mint condition and his depot is constantly in our top five sales rankings weekly” said Ms. Stevens, adding that the Athlone man is “held in very high regard” by everyone at Certa.
Certa, which is part of DCC plc, operates two Depots in Westmeath, one in Athlone and one in Mullingar, where they also operate a Certa forecourt.
Two Mullingar employees of Certa, Gerry Hynes and William Williams were also presented with long service awards.
The Managing Director of Certa said the company is committed to “continually enhancing the service” they offer to domestic, commercial and industrial customers and added that they value “the great service” that colleagues like Eddie Belton and his Mullingar colleagues deliver each and every day.
