League of Ireland wrap: Shelbourne draw with Rovers, St Pats beat Sligo in seven goal thriller

Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers shared the spoils in their SSE Airtricity League Premier Division clash on Friday evening.

Harry Wood opened the scoring for the Reds after two minutes, before Aaron McEneff's equaliser to leave it 1-1 at Tolka Park.

It means the Reds remain top of the table.

St Pat's edged a seven-goal thriller at Richmond Park to get their first win of the season, beating Sligo Rovers 4-3.

Pat Hoban's second-half penalty proved only a consolation, as Derry City were beaten 2-1 at home to Waterford.

Cork City came back from a goal down to beat 10-man Bohemians 2-1 at Turner's Cross.

Drogheda United and Galway United remain unbeaten in their respective campaigns with the scoring being 1-1 on Boyneside.

In the First Division, Dundalk got a 1-0 win at Kerry, despite Leo Gaxha's first-half red card.

Wexford got the better of Bray Wanderers, winning 2-0 at Ferrycarrig Park.

UCD and Cobh Ramblers finished a goal a piece in Belfield.

Treaty United beat Finn Harps on a 3-1 scoreline at Markets Field.
