Ten-day road closure in South Roscommon from next Monday
Locals in the South Roscommon community of Moore are due to face traffic disruption from next week, with a road closure in the area scheduled to come into effect.
Roscommon County Council said that, from Monday next, February 24, it would be closing the L-2039-27 and the L-2039-50 in Moore South and Cappantogher.
The closure, which is being organised to facilitate "necessary road improvement works" is set to remain in effect until Wednesday, March 5.
Diversions will be in place, on the R446 and R357, and the the local authority advised road users to expect delays.
"Emergency services and local access only will be accommodated," said the council.
The works are being carried out by Roscommon County Council's Athlone operational area.
