Tribute band to bring music of Dylan, Young and Petty to Athlone

More than 60 years after the release of his debut album, Bob Dylan has seen his popularity on music streaming services increase significantly in recent months.

The release of the biopic A Complete Unknown, starring Timothée Chalamet, introduced Dylan's early songs to a new audience and now a tribute band will be performing some of his material in Athlone at the beginning of next month.

The Muddy River Band, which performs the music of Dylan and two other North American music legends, Neil Young and Tom Petty, will be appearing in The Venue, Athlone, on Saturday, March 1.

A description of the Muddy River Band states that "this talented group of musicians bring to life the unforgettable melodies, poignant lyrics, and electrifying performances that have echoed through the lives of generations of music lovers".
