Water outages across Athlone

Parts of Athlone are without water this evening, after a significant pipe burst in the region.

Areas including Ballykeeran, Glasson, Coosan and parts of the east side of Athlone have been badly impacted.

It's understood a burst pipe on the Ballykeeran Road caused the outage.

Uisce Éireann and Westmeath County Council are currently assessing the situation.
