Formation of 'town team' to be focus of Kilbeggan public meeting
A public meeting will take place in Kilbeggan Parish Hall on Wednesday, March 5, the aim of which is to provide information to attendees on the establishment of a town team.
Establishing a town team, drawn from various sectors of the local community, is seen as pivotal to the enhancement and regeneration of Kilbeggan under the Town Centre First government initiative.
To this end, Westmeath County Council is inviting members of the public, businesses, sporting, community and voluntary groups, local schools, and property owners to get involved in the preparation and formation programme for the establishment of a Kilbeggan Town Team.
The meeting, at which community members can register their interest and sign up for the town team and sector groups, will commence at 8pm.
A second meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 19, at which it is hoped a town team can be formed.
