Bower and Marist's High School Musical opens in Athlone tonight

Excitement is building among Transition Year students in Our Lady’s Bower and the Marist College, as they make the final preparations for their production of ‘High School Musical’.

The musical will be staged in Athlone's Dean Crowe Theatre from this evening, Wednesday, February 5, to Saturday, February 8, with shows commencing at 8pm each night.

The students, guided and supported by Director Aishling Fennell and TY Coordinator Ethna Benson have put in trojan work over the past weeks and months preparing for the event.

Some of the musical’s stars include: Kari Brady as Gabriella, Jimmy Walshe as Troy, Éabha McGlynn as Sharpay, Mikey Sammon as Ryan, Alyssa Glynn as Martha, Owen Egan as Chad, Orla O’Donoghue as Kelce, Joanna Arrigan as Ms Darbus.
