Irish BBC anchor Caitríona Perry showed her professionalism as US musician Kid Rock made inappropriate comments in a live interview as he asked her out and said she looked "sexy".
Perry, who previously worked for RTÉ, was interviewing Kid Rock, a prominent supporter of US president Donald Trump, on Inauguration Day in the US.
He told her he was celebrating the "rebirth of America" after Mr Trump was sworn in for the second time.
The musician, who was smoking a cigar throughout the interview, then asked Perry: "What about you? What are you doing? Where you at?”
Perry replied that she had a long day of broadcasting. Kid Rock said: "I mean, I can’t see you right now, so I don’t know what you look like.”
Referring to the freezing Washington temperatures, she replied: "I look like I’m ready to hit the slopes. I’m in full on ski gear here.”
Kid Rock quickly responded: "I love to go skiing. You sound sexy. You want to go with me?”
After a brief pause, Perry replied: "“Well we won’t get into that right here so we’re doing no skiing today. We’ve got a day of broadcasting to do.”
She then thanked Kid Rock for the interview and wished him well, to which he replied: "God Bless."
The interaction has gone viral on social media, with many people criticising Kid Rock for his behaviour.
Perry previously showed her professionalism during another awkward high profile encounter when Mr Trump invited her over to his desk and complimented her smile when he spoke on the phone to then-taoiseach Leo Varadkar in 2017.
