Making the perfect chip
To make the perfect chip you need the perfect potato according to the team from Our Lady's Bower whose project Crunch Time looked into what is the perfect potato to make chips.
And the answer? Maris Piper say Laoise Claffey, Amber Gallagher and Muireann Kenny.
That's because it has the highest level of dry matter and the lowest level of starch of all the potatoes they surveyed. The worst for chips are Jazzy and Charlotte.
The project won third prize in the junior group section of the Chemical, Physical and Mathematical category.
