Charlie's Bar re-opening pushed back as weather causes delays

The long-awaited return of Athlone staple Charlie's Bar has been pushed back.

The pub is unable to open as scheduled today, Monday, January 13, due to cold weather over the past week which has caused delays in material deliveries.

Taking to social media to share the update, pub staff wrote: "Due to the bad weather, our workers and equipment couldn’t make it to the pub, so we’ll have to delay our opening.

"We’ll keep you updated and appreciate your understanding."

The new re-opening date is yet to be confirmed, and will be shared on the pub's Facebook page at Charlie's Bar.
