Driver in motorway accident hospitalised with 'non-life-threatening injuries'

The driver of one of the two vehicles involved in a collision outside Athlone this morning was brought to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardai have confirmed they received a report of a two-vehicle collision eastbound on the M6 between Junctions 14 and 13 at approximately 9.50am this morning.

The driver of one of the vehicles (female) was brought to Ballinasloe Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The eastbound motorway was closed at Junction 14 for a time to allow the roadway to be cleared. The road has since reopened.
