Thirty-seven patients waiting for beds at Portiuncla hospital
Thirty-seven patients waiting on beds this morning, Thursday, January 9, at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
That's according to today’s Trolley Watch figures issued by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
The figures showed 12 patients in the Emergency Department were waiting on beds, as well as 25 patients elsewhere in the hospital.
The number is the highest this year so far, equal to January 2, when there were also 37 people waiting for beds in the hospital.
