Connacht rugby star Jack Carty has launched a new health and wellness brand named Cognitive Blends.
The brand, which was built with the guidance of former Connacht team doctor Dr Alan Farrell, aim to provide "safe and effective natural formulations, and an unconventional, entertaining, and honest approach to nutrition and education".
The 32-year-old Athlone native said his interest in seeking natural solutions to enhance his strength, recovery, and overall wellness throughout his athletic career inspired him to set up the brand.
"My curiosity about products and interventions to aid recovery, performance, and general well-being has always been innate to me for as long as I can remember," Mr Carty said.
"What has been evident over the past 4–5 years is the growing appetite among individuals to understand their bodies and an increasing urge to be proactive in their mental and physical health."
Dr Farrell has worked with numerous elite and professional athletes and teams, and has recently endeavoured to use the tools of the high-performance world to prevent and treat "the epidemic of physical and mental chronic diseases."
Cognitive Blends aims to provide education, support, and a product that represents not only what its founders believe in, but also something their potential community could align with.
Together Dr Farrell and Mr Carty created their first product, ThriveOne, which is a natural hormone support supplement for men.
"It’s not going to be a silver bullet by any means," the Connacht star said. "We are confident we can help educate, optimize, and provide hormonal functioning support for men so they can perform, live healthier lives, and get back in balance."
The supplement is set to be available for purchase from https://cognitiveblends.com/ within the next couple of weeks.
