New orange warning for this region for two nights

Met Éireann has issued a new orange warning for this region.

The warning, made this morning, is for tonight, and Wednesday night, and warns of low temperature and ice.

The national forecaster says it will be extremely cold with widespread severe frost, ice and lying snow.

It is warning of dangerous travelling conditions on roads and underfoot, travel disruption and delays and animal welfare issues.

The warning tonight covers 22 counties, including Westmeath and Roscommon.

The full list is Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, and Wicklow.

The warning is from 8pm tonight, Tuesday, to 10am Wednesday.

The warning for Wednesday night covers 25 counties, all excluding Donegal, and from 6pm, Wednesday to 11am, Thursday.
