Local singer releases heartfelt tribute song to Kilbeggan
Renowned singer-songwriter Larissa Tormey has just released her deeply personal new single, Kilbeggan’s Heart.
The song is a touching tribute to the small Irish town of Kilbeggan where she has resided for over 20 years.
Reflecting on her inspiration, Larissa shares: “I always wanted to write a song about this little town that made me feel so welcome when I arrived here many years ago. In this song, I expressed my emotions, and I hope many people who were raised in a small town will be able to connect.”
While Larissa composed the melody, she sought the lyrical expertise of Katherine Brown from the UK, whom she met through her songwriting collaborations with DWB Publishing, UK.
“Katherine wrote a brilliant chorus that truly brought the song to life,” she said.
The production of Kilbeggan’s Heart was entrusted to Florian Bray, a talented young German producer based in the UK, known for his versatility across genres and multi-instrumentalist skills.
“Florian has done an excellent job, and I couldn’t be happier with the result,” said Larissa.
In addition to the single, a music video was filmed on location at the historic Kilbeggan Whiskey Distillery, with special thanks to Ruth Wyer and the distillery management for their generous support.
The video was directed and produced by FoxMediaCreation, led by the talented team Rafael Jesus and Jeniffer Zdroewski, and is set to premiere very soon.
