99-unit project in Monksland

Plans have been lodged again for a proposed 99-unit housing development in Monksland.

The project by Pat Donoghue, proposes to construct the dwelling units and a creche.

Previous planning applications submitted in recent months were not considered by Roscommon County Council after being deemed invalid.

The development will consist of six two-storey two-bed units, two two-bed apartments over the creche facility, 34 two-storey three-bed semi-detached units, 36 two-storey four-bed semi-detached units and 21 two-storey four-bed detached units.

The development will also include the installation of a foul sewerage pumping station to be connected to the existing nearby public foul sewerage.

Permission is also being sought to demolish an existing outbuilding, which formerly served a now-demolished dwelling house.
