Christmas market in local village on Saturday

The Ballinahown Christmas Market returns this year, and will take place in the village from 4.30pm to 7pm this Saturday, December 21.

The market will feature a varied selection of local crafts, festive foods, and handmade gifts, including Christmas wreaths, baked goods wooden gifts, children's book, candles, art, and much more.

Homemade soup and brown bread, tea, coffee, mulled wine and hot chocolate will be served by the Ballinahown Community Development team to raise funds for village projects.

Other food offerings are to include Supermac's, French crêpes and Spanish churros.

Also on sale will be homemade Christmas Decorations and native wild flower seeds as seen in the village earlier this year.

There will be plenty of entertainment for all ages, from face painting and festive storytelling in the community library with the Snow Queen to a sustainable and biodegradable reindeer food-making station.

Live music by the Castle-Ceilí Trad Group will get everyone into the festive spirit, followed by a lively festive set from DJ Rigs. A special highlight of the evening will be Santa’s visit at 5:30pm, where children can share their Christmas wishes and soak up the festive cheer!

Parking will be available at the National School, the sports park and the Church. Ballinahown Community Development is encouraging you to support local, meet friends, and soak up the Christmas cheer on Saturday.
