Storm Darragh disrupts exam schedule at TUS in Athlone

The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) has announced the postponement of an exam session on its Athlone campus tomorrow (Saturday) morning, due to Storm Darragh.

The storm has resulted in red and orange-level warnings being put in place across the country from later this evening into tomorrow morning.

In a statement on social media, TUS said, "On foot of the issuing of red and orange warnings by Met Éireann, the following arrangements are now in place for Semester 1 Exams scheduled for tomorrow, December 7, on the Athlone Campus: 10am Exam Session: Postponed. 2:00pm Exam Session: Proceeding."

The university added that no students or staff should travel in an area which is subject to a red or orange warning in order to attend an exam session.

"All students and staff affected by the postponement of the 10am session will be contacted by the Exams Office regarding contingency arrangements for these exams," it added.

"Students or staff scheduled for the 2pm session who cannot attend, should contact the Exams Office by email on: exams.midlands@tus.ie for instructions."
