15:16: FINAL COUNT
Claire Kerrane has been elected as TD for the Roscommon Galway constituency on the seventh count, following the distribution of Eugene Murphy's 5,779 votes.
Kerrane picked up 1,536 votes from this redistribution, ending with a total of 11, 087, bringing her over the quota of 10,283.
Martin Daly picked up 1,862 votes from Murphy, bringing him to a total of 10, 234. As the surplus from Kerrane was not sufficient for fourth-place Aisling Dolan to overtake Daly,, the Ballygar GP was also deemed elected.

Dolan (Fine Gael): 7,793 (+968)
Kerrane (Sinn Féin): 11, 087 (+1,536)
14:50: Poll-topper Micheal Fizmaurice is back in the Roscommon Galway count centre. He must be expecting some new developments in the count soon...
1:30 pm: There's an air of excitement here in the Hyde Centre now, as another seat and possibly two are expected to be filled in the next count.
12:55 am: Things are flying this morning at the Roscommon Galway count centre.
The results of the sixth count are in now, with the distribution of Dympna Daly-Finn's 2,425 votes.

Daly (Fianna Fáil): 8,372 (+362)
Dolan (Fine Gael): 6,625 (+1,397)
Kerrane (Sinn Féin): 9,551 (+220)
Murphy (Independent): 5,779 (+338)
No candidate reached the quota on this count. As the candidate with the lowest number of votes, Eugene Murphy, Independent candidate, has been excluded and his votes will be distributed in the seventh count.
11:58 am: The results of the fifth count are now in, with the distribution of Cormac Ó Corcoráin and Andrew Mannion's surplus votes.

Again, no candidate reached the quota for election on this count. As the candidate with the lowest number of votes, Dympna Daly-Finn, Fine Gael, has been excluded and their surplus will be distributed in the sixth count.

No candidate reached the quota for election on this count. As the candidates with the lowest number of votes, Cormac Ó Corcoráin, Aontú, and Andrew Mannion, People Before Profit, have been excluded and their surplus will be distributed in the next count.
10:20 am: We are back at the Hyde Centre today for the ongoing general election count in the Roscommon Galway constituency.
So far Micheal Fitzmaurice was elected on the first count. The second and third counts were concluded last nights with no further candidates elected as yet.
Vincent Beirne, Independent candidate was excluded on the second count and Martina O'Connor, Green Party candidate and Alan Sweeney, The Irish People candidate, excluded on the third round. Their surpluses are now being distributed.
So far, Claire Kerrane, Sinn Féin, and Martin Daly, look most likely to take the second and third seats in the constituency, with a clear gap between them and the candidate with the next highest number of votes so far, Aisling Dolan of Fine Gael.
