Westmeath begin league campaign with trip to Cork

The Westmeath senior ladies football team will kick off their Lidl National Football League Division 2 campaign with an away fixture against Cork on Sunday, January 26.

Frank Browne's charges first home game is a week later when Donegal visit. Westmeath will also have home advantage for their Round 3 clash against Clare on Sunday, February 9.

The Lakeside ladies will be on the road again in Round 4 (Galway, February 23) and Round 5 (Tipperary, March 2).

They will finish the round robin phase of the league with two home games. First up are Roscommon on March 23, while they will play host to Monaghan on Sunday, March 30. Players and management will be hoping that Westmeath can improve on last year's league peformance, which ended with three victories and four defeats.
