Roscommon man features in new short film shot in Midlands
Roscommon native Phillip Dolan is set to start in new short film 'For The Cure'.
The film was written by Conor McCormick, and co-produced by Lorcan O’Hanlon. It is the duo's third time working together.
Their first project short film Bunker Baby was shown at this year’s Galway Film Fleadh. They also recently collaborated on a music video for Irish artist Leah Rose.
For The Cure was the winner of the 2024 Film Offaly Award which aims to foster creative filmmaking in the county, utilising Offaly’s many locations, crew and local businesses.
The annual award looks for unique and original stories by talented new filmmakers.
Pre-Production for the film itself officially began in September, and filming officially wrapped in November.
The film was shot in Banagher, and the production team received a lot of support from locals in helping them find locations.
