Fernhill launches annual Christmas shop
Fernhill Garden Centre launched their annual Christmas Shop on Thursday, November 7.
It was a magical night which featured a countdown to the official switching on of the lights - an occasion which marks the beginning of the festive season for many of the locals.
"We always make a big fuss for the launch of our Christmas Shop," said Fernhill Director Eoin Reid. "Our main focus is to make it an enjoyable evening for all of the kids that come along."
The launch is always a busy night for the shop, with the focus primarily on enjoying time with friends and neighbours.
"It went exceptionally well," said Eoin. "We've been doing the Christmas Shop for 30 odd years now, and it's always a very pleasant evening."
The family friendly event allows children and parents to get into the spirit of the season while taking in all the glimmering lights and decorations that the garden centre has to offer.
"We have three or four different themes this year, including Ice Castle, and Classic Romance. The launch always helps us to get the shop organised."
The Fernhill Garden Centre Christmas Shop will be running right up until Christmas, meaning there is plenty of time to go along for a peak and take in the holiday spirt.
