Dolan added to Fine Gael election ticket in Roscommon-Galway

Ballinasloe Senator Aisling Dolan has been added to the Fine Gael General Election ticket in Roscommon-Galway.

The Ballinasloe Senator will join Arigna woman Dympna Daly-Finn as part of a two-candidate strategy in the constituency.

Senator Dolan said: "It is an honour to be asked by An Taoiseach Simon Harris to go forward as a Fine Gael general election candidate for Roscommon-Galway.

"I look forward to building on my track record over the past five years winning vital funding for our communities."

She had previously lost out to the late Roscommon councillor John Naughten in the party's selection convention earlier this month.

The South Roscommon councillor passed away just two weeks after the convention.

Arigna woman Dympna Daly-Finn was also chosen at the convention.
