Another road closure in Clonown area

Residents of the Clonown area are to be impacted by yet another road closure.

Roscommon County Council has published plans to close the main road between Athlone town and Clonown, at Creggan, over a three and a half week period.

The L2034-15 at Creggan, Clonown, will be closed at various times, the council said, between Monday, October 21 to Friday, November 15, in order to facilitate necessary road improvement works.

The council said emergency services and local access only will be accommodated.

It's yet another road closure in the area, on foot of previous road closures for both the Athlone Flood Defences project and the Athlone Main Drainage Scheme.
