Ballycumber native psychic medium to appear on two tv shows next week
By Rebekah O'Reilly
Ballycumber native and psychic medium Natasha Bracken will be on our television screens twice next week.
She is set to appear on both the new investigative series Real Life With Lucy Kennedy at 9pm, and breakfast programme Ireland AM on Virgin Media on Monday, October 7.
The healer worked alongside Lucy on the episode on April 25 of this year. Natasha said working with the star was “the most amazing experience". “I felt she really got it. She was genuine, and her compassion was so amazing.”
Despite having been asked to appear on TV before, this is Natasha's first appearance of this kind.
She said: “[Spiritual healing] is very personal. It's not a fame thing for me.”
The woman said she has known about her gift since a young age, noting that spiritual powers have run in her family for generations.
Despite feeling different from a young age, it was only after a potentially lifechanging accident that Natasha realised the power of her gift.
“How I really discovered it was when my son Cian wouldn't come with me in the car one day.
He went with my husband instead,” she said.
“My UGG boot got stuck on the accelerator of the car, and I ended up crashing into two trees.
“A beautiful spirit appeared in front of me and told me to let go of the wheel. That spirit saved my son's life by coming to him. Otherwise the tyre lift in my boot would've decapitated him.”
Natasha explained that she knew then she had to hang up the hairdressing scissors, and embrace her spiritual side.
“I closed up my hair salon,” she said. “I've been doing this for 14 years now, I opened a clinic in the back of my house where I do readings.
“I'm also a trance healer – which means that I allow a spirit, the White Witch, to come into my body. She can heal people.
“My sister is also a psychic. We're the only two sisters in the same bloodline who can tune into the same spirits.”
When asked what her shows typically consist of, Natasha said: “I can connect loved ones to those who have passed.
“It's very compassionate – sometimes I bring them gifts from their deceased. I bring notes with messages from those who have passed.”
When asked how people tend to react to her gift, Natasha said it brings a sort of peace and acceptance to people.
Natasha will host live shows in the Midlands later this month, including one in Dooly's Hotel in Birr on October 17. Other dates are set to be announced.
