RBK chartered accountants, in conjunction with AIB and Athlone Chamber, will host its annual Breakfast Budget briefing in the Athlone Springs Hotel in Monksland (N37 F9T3) this Wednesday morning, October 2.
The briefing, which is being delivered in person, online and also as a live stream, gets underway at 7.30am on Wednesday morning, and will continue until 9am.
RBK, which has offices in Irishtown, Athlone, and also in Roscommon and Dublin, is one of Ireland's leading chartered accountancy and business advisory firms. In the lead up to the delivery of Budget 2025 tomorrow (Tuesday), their business and tax advisers have been examining the potential tax measures that the government could consider, with a special emphasis on the implications for their clients.
RBK has also compiled a dedicated Budget 2025 Analysis page, where they examine the backdrop to Budget 2025, Employment Taxes, VAT, Capital Taxes, Personal Taxes, Cost of Living, Your Pension, Landlords & Homeowners, Corporation Tax, Addressing Ireland's Housing Crises, Green Tax Strategies and Agriculture, and they are inviting clients to have a look at the page, which will carry further updates in the coming weeks.
Finance Minister, Jack Chambers, will be delivering his first budget and it will also be the last budget of the current government. Fortunately, Minister Chambers has inherited a sizeable surplus of €8.6bn. In the Summer Economic Statement the government indicated an €8.3bn tax and spending package, with tax measures amounting to €1.4bn and additional spending of €6.9bn. This package is circa €3bn more than in the prior year.
The speakers at Wednesday's briefing are as follows:
Mike Scanlan, Tax Director with RBK Chartered Accountants, will provide an overview of the tax measures introduced.
David McNamara, Chief Economist with AIB will give his expert opinion on the likely impact of Budget 2025 on the economy.
