Ballinasloe man organises concert in aid of Cambodian charity

Ballinasloe resident Edward (Eamon) Conway has organised a charity concert in aid of the Build Your Future Today Center in Cambodia.

The concert is set to take place on November 30, from 7:30pm, in Ballinasloe Town Hall.

It will feature performances from musical acts Shaskeen, and La Cheile, with an appearance from special guest Eleanor Shanley.

Speaking about what inspired him to raise funds for the Build Your Future Centre, Edward said: "Last time I was in Cambodia I saw an enterprise called Build Your Future Today which [aims] to help communities in various projects they might have. This may be funding for water wells, or funding in the community so they can start their own business.

"[It includes] a clothes programme to help educate the young girls on sanitary issues. Lastly [it aims] to support education for all the children so they can enter the world as well rounded individuals."

Tickets for the concert are priced at €20, with tickets for OAPs and under 12's priced at €15.
