Moate Ladies 'mothers and others' group takes part in national blitz in Dublin

Moate Ladies 'mothers and others' headed off to Malahide to take part in the National 'Mother's and Others' Blitz.

The event, which took place last Saturday last, September 7, was attended by over 3,000 players with 26 pitches used for the game.

It was held between Naomh Mearnog and St. Sylvester's clubs in Dublin. The event was a huge success.

The 'mothers and others' clubs were set up to allow women to play football in a fun, non-competitive way. No scores were kept on the day.

'Moate mothers and others' train every Wednesday at the large astro pitch in Moate from 8.30-9.30 and are always happy to get new members.

This year they have been kindly sponsored by TMC fabrications and Don's Bar Moate.

In November of this year, the Mother's and Others will be travelling overseas to take part in the Barcelona Blitz.
