The young girl injured in the Parnell Street attack last November has been discharged from hospital.

The five-year-old girl spent 281 days in Temple Street Children's Hospital following a stabbing incident outside a school on Parnell Square.

In an update on the GoFundMe page set up for her care, the young girl's family revealed she was discharged on Friday and is beginning her rehabilitation journey.

It is hoped she will soon be able to swallow food, move her arms and legs and utter more sounds.

The multiple stabbing outside Coláiste Mhuire on Parnell Square left two other young children and a carer injured.

Riad Bouchaker (50) is currently before the courts charged with three counts of attempted murder, one of producing and possessing a kitchen knife, three counts of assault causing harm and one of assault causing serious harm.
