Company co-founded by Athlone man opens new headquarters in Cavan

Automation services firm Nuálach Automation, which was co-founded by Athlone man Evan Roarke, has today (Wednesday) opened a new company headquarters and automation workshop in Virginia, Cavan.

The company said the 5,500 square foot premises includes a custom-fitted production workshop, machine build demonstration facility and office space for its expanding services, operations and staff.

Nuálach Automation was founded in Cavan in 2021 by Roarke, a former Marist College student who is the company's co-director and controls manager, and Virginia native Kealan O'Connell, its co-director and design manager.

Nuálach Automation provides bespoke machine build, automation consultancy and support services for indigenous and international companies in the pharmaceutical, life science, medical device, automotive, and industrial sectors. Its clients include 3M, Abbott, Medtronic, and MCI.

"We started out supporting a small number of key multinationals in Westmeath and Cavan in production and systems automation", explained Roarke.

"We quickly developed a reputation for delivering quality and performance, particular in key sectors.

"The strategic expansion of our team and operations is enabling us to deepen legacy client partnerships while at the same time onboard new clients across Ireland and overseas," he added.

The opening of the company's new headquarters in Virginia was described as "an immensely proud day" by co-founder Kealan O'Connell.

"Our new HQ investment and continued success is a testament to the commitment of our expert staff, the trust given to us by our fantastic clients and key supports and mentoring we have received from the Local Enterprise Office as we expand and grow,” he said,

The facility was officially opened by Cllr TP O'Reilly, the Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, who said it would "enable the company to scale and develop new opportunities both in Ireland and overseas markets".

The chief executive of Cavan County Council, Eoin Doyle, said, "the growth and success of Nuálach Automation underpins Cavan County Council's ambition to support growth and enable innovation across new and existing business across Co. Cavan through the work of its Local Enterprise Office.

"Both Kealan and Evan and their team in Nuálach Automation are an excellent example of an innovative and dynamic company providing high value-added jobs and thriving in Virginia, county Cavan."
