Leaving Cert student in Athlone's Marist College secures eight H1s
A student in Athlone's Marist College achieved a remarkable eight H1s in this year's Leaving Cert exams.
David O'Shea, from Cartrontroy, secured maximum points after a year in which he was Head Boy in the Marist College.
The school congratulated David on this "immense" achievement, which it said was a reflection of the work that he had put in.
David is son of Barry & Deirdre O'Shea (nee Quilty) from Cartontroy, and a grandson of Seán Quilty, of Retreat Park, who died in March of this year.
David will now be going on to study Accounting and Finance in DCU.
