As a local, member owned co-operative Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union is proud to be a pillar of financial support and community empowerment in Athlone.
In recent years, the Credit Union has not only expanded its services but also deepened its roots within the community. Michael Evans, CEO of Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union commented: “We take immense pride in offering a comprehensive range of financial products tailored to meet the diverse needs of our members. At the heart of everything it does is the community it operates in and it is to further support that community that Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union introduced its Community Support Fund in 2022. Since its launch the fund has proudly supported nearly 100 local community, cultural, charity, and sports groups with donations to help fund their activities.
Through the sponsorship of the “Unsung Hero of the Year Award” and active participation in the Westmeath Independent Community and Sports Awards it reaffirms its dedication to recognising and honouring those who enrich the lives of others in the Athlone community.
