Mike Denver to kick off three days of music in Shannonbridge marquee

The three-day 'Live at the Marquee' event at JJ Killeen's, Shannonbridge, will get underway with a performance by Mike Denver and his band this Friday night (August 23).

Doors will be open from 7pm, and the popular country performer will be supported on the night by special guest Kevin Kearney of The Indians, AKA 'The Big Chief'.

Mike Denver has a devoted audience throughout Ireland, and has been making inroads in the UK with some sold-out concerts in England and Scotland over the past couple of years.

With his excellent backing band, he will be presenting a high-energy concert show on Friday which will features all his hits including ‘Tommy K’, ‘Wasn't that a Party’, ‘Galway Girl’, ‘Blown Away’, along with some popular classic tracks from the 1960s and ’70s.

'The Big Chief' will be on stage from 8.30pm to 10pm on Friday, followed by Mike Denver from 10pm - 12.

The music and dancing will then continue for the rest of the weekend, with Derek Ryan and band, along with special guest Jack Keogh, performing on Saturday. Again, doors will open from 7pm and the music will be starting at 8pm.

And, on Sunday, the weekend will conclude with popular tribute band ABBAesque, performing all of the Scandanavian pop legends' biggest hits, along with a 'Mega Marquee 70s & 80s Disco'.

Doors will open at the slightly earlier time of 6pm on Sunday, and the music will be underway from 7pm.
