Midlands company nominated for international sports tech award

Tullamore-based company Future Ticketing has been nominated in the prestigious Sports Business Awards 2024.

The Sports Business Awards, where entries are judged by the chief executives of major sports governing bodies, will be presented in London on November 29.

Future Ticketing is shortlisted for an award in the Innovation category and will be competing for the top prize with Paris Saint-Germain and Norwich City among others. This nomination recognises Future Ticketing’s game changing technology for sports businesses.

Liam Holton CEO of Future Ticketing said: “Here at Future Ticketing we are delighted to be nominated for a Sports Business award and are especially proud to be recognised in the Sports Innovation Award category.

“Innovation has always been at the heart of our digitisation mission, and we pioneered the use of API software in sports ticketing.

“We have progressive partners in horse racing, football, ice hockey, GAA, rugby league and union and many other sports and it is the visionaries within these partner organisations who have earned this recognition for us.

“We are very much looking forward to the awards ceremony where we will be sitting down with many of the leaders in global sport, with Barcelona, Atletico de Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur nominated in other categories.”

Future Ticketing is the ticketing company used by many League of Ireland football clubs, and last year it agreed a ticketing partnership with Athlone Town.
