Ten arrested as part of investigation into criminal activity in Mullingar
Over the last number of weeks, gardaí in Mullingar have made 10 arrests and conducted a number of searches as part of an operation targeting criminal activity in the County Westmeath area.
The ongoing operation is conducted by gardaí from the Mullingar Division with assistance from gardaí in Tullamore, County Offaly.
Additionally, local uniform gardaí and plain clothes gardaí have been conducting pro-active patrols in the area.
A total of 11 properties have been searched during the course of the investigation.
A total of 10 people have been arrested in connection with the operation.
All have since been charged and brought before the courts.
Three of the arrested individuals, who appeared before a special sitting of Mullingar District Court, last night, Wednesday 7 July, have been remanded in custody.
Those three individuals are due to appear before Mullingar District Court on Monday morning, 12 August, 2024 at 10.30am.
Investigations are ongoing.
