LWETB thanks TUS for Studyclix sponsorship

As the Leaving Cert exams have now concluded, and students eagerly await results, Longford and Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWETB) has outlined the benefits of Studyclix to students throughout the school year.

LWETB said it is grateful for the support from the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS).

Thanks to their generosity, over 1,400 students in Longford and Westmeath have free access to Studyclix premium features. This partnership has greatly improved students' learning experience by providing them with excellent resources.

TUS’s educational insights have also helped make the content on Studyclix even better, ensuring our students get the best possible guidance and support during their exam preparation.

Studyclix has revolutionised how students get ready for exams. In the past, students spent a lot of time searching for past exam papers on different websites, which took away from their study time. Studyclix solves this problem by putting all past papers, mock papers, and deferred papers in one easy-to-use platform. This helps students focus more on studying and less on searching for resources.

According to Laura Delaney, a student at Castlepollard Community College who has just completed the Leaving Cert, one of the best features of Studyclix is that “it categorises past exam paper questions by topic, allowing students to focus on individual chapters and easily identify their weak areas without having to spend time scrolling through past exam papers”.

Laura found this especially helpful for core subjects such as Mathematics. Understanding challenging subjects can be daunting, but Studyclix’s step-by-step tutorial videos have made a significant difference. These videos guide students through solving each exam question, similar to having a teacher's assistance. This feature has proven especially beneficial.

Carmel Hennessy of TUS said: “TUS was delighted to connect LWETB DEIS schools with Studyclix. This collaboration has allowed us to support local schools and students providing free access to Studyclix packages featuring expert exam tips and access to past papers for both Junior and Leaving Certificate. TUS provided the schools with Studyclix licences through the Higher Education Authority’s Covid Contingency Fund, which was set up to make support services more accessible to vulnerable students from target areas. students benefit from having a real high quality learning resources easily accessible.

“Since the impact of Covid accessing this online resource has aided in their academic progression whilst complementing other supports and initiatives available through the Access Office in TUS Athlone.”

LWETB said it encourages students to create a Studyclix account and explore its resources
