Four Ericsson employees nominated for Diversity in Tech awards

Ericsson, the telecommunications giant and large Athlone employer, has had four of its employees shortlisted for next month's Diversity in Tech awards in Dublin.

The annual awards event, in partnership with JP Morgan, will take place in the RDS on September 19. Now in its seventh year, it celebrates diversity and female achievements within the tech industry.

Ericsson workers nominated for awards in the various categories include Denis Dullea, who has been shortlisted for the 'DE&I Excellence in Leadership' award.

Gillian Leetch of Ericsson is in contention for the 'Technical Guru' award, while her colleague Barbara Quinn is among five nominees for the 'STEM Champion' honour.

Company representative Anne Marie Dignam, meanwhile, has been nominated for the 'Trailblazer' award.

Commenting on the launch of this year's awards, Claire Rush, JP Mogan's Executive Director, Global Technology, said: "JP Morgan is extremely proud in this our third year to partner with the Diversity in Tech Awards once again.

"These awards highlight the critical importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in driving innovation and creativity.

"Technology flourishes when diverse perspectives come together, and these awards recognise the trailblazers making the tech world more inclusive and equitable."

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 19, at the RDS Concert Hall in Dublin, organised by the Dublin Tech Summit.
