Galway winner for Rory Cleary

Athlone jockey Rory Cleary notched a winner at the high-profile Galway Races on Monday evening.

Cleary was on board the Tony Mullins' trained Kentucky Girl, which won the Grá Chocolates Handicap by a neck from Highland Bling, on the opening day of the festival.

Coincidentally, the trainer is a cousin of Gráinne Mullins, the driving force for the sponsor, an artisan chocolate maker based in Galway.
