GAA participation officer being recruited for Westmeath

The GAA is currently advertising for the role of participation officers for eight counties, including Westmeath.

The roles are geared towards those who have at least three years' of active involvement with the GAA, or another similar organisation, and are interested in a full-time role.

A "clear and detailed knowledge of the GAA’s coaching schemes and initiatives," is one of the requirements for the position.

The GAA said that, in conjunction with Leinster GAA, it was recruiting participation officers for Westmeath, Offaly, Laois, Carlow, Wexford, Kildare, Meath and Longford.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the delivery of games development player participation and retention programmes in club and school settings.
