The Tuar Ard Theatre in Moate.

Comedy play coming to Moate's Tuar Ard this weekend

Beezneez Theatre Company is bringing its production of The Pension Play by John McDwyer to Moate's Tuar Ard Theatre this Saturday, July 6, at 8pm.

The play is described as a "rip roaring comedy" about the bachelor Flanagan brothers who live a life of peaceful contentment on their hillside farm, disturbed only by the persistent efforts of their spinster neighbour, Ann Catherine, to marry either or both of them.

Their tranquil existence is disturbed by a visiting stranger who brings news that threatens to turn their world upside down. Salvation may come from an unlikely source, but at what price?

The author directs Barry Deignan, Gerry Farrell, Pat Feeley and Valerie Traynor in an evening of madcap fun.

Tickets, priced €20, can be booked on the theatre's website.
